I have come across your program and I'm very interested in what the program may or may not be able to do. I have downloaded the evaluation Beta and imported/exported the appropriate GEDCOM file from my original Family Tree for Windows. I have noticed that it is very easy to amend information quickly, however, when I saved the changes and re-opened the file that I belived was changed, the changes had not been taken.

I'm sorry if you were somehow misled into thinking that Behold was currently a full genealogy editor. I wish I was there already, but that's planned for Version 2. Currently, Behold is only a viewer. The next step will be Version 1.1 which will save to GEDCOM and to its own project file. Then will come the editing.
Please be patient and come along for the ride. Once I get it all together, the result will be amazing. Like you say: "very easy to amend information quickly". I think it will change the way genealogists work.
I'm working to get there as fast as I can. I know it's still not fast enough for me and everyone else, but I'm trying.
Version 1.0 will be out shortly.
