Louis, this latest release is really nice, tieing up a lot of loose ends.
It would be nice to have the OPTION to print the source title and citation (Page) in the report instead of just the code. I know that this could add many pages to a printout (mine is 408 pages long now), but it would be nice to not have to always refer to another page of a printout or follow a hyperlink and then back-button it back to where you were.
I could see this as a check box option that the user could select or not depending on their manner of working.
Yes, I'll make that an option. Probably in Version 1.1
I was also thinking about having a tool tip show up containing the source and citation when you hover over the source and/or have it show up in the status bar. Those will be options as well to be added in Version 1.1
I thought that if I cried loud enough maybe this feature would end up in the product sooner. I'm sure that was loud enough ... maybe not long enough.
Or maybe I need to keep asking "Are we there yet?"
Just put it in whenever it's the right time to do so. I can wait. After all, I've got over 400 pages of Everything Report to read!
Having been a programmer since 1970 (and working in some langages that are probably now long lost ... like TUTOR on the PLATO system ... ) I know how hard it is to work everyone's requests in. Just keep plugging along.
Keep being squeaky. Squeaky wheels do get the grease.
It is something I could squeeze in earlier, but Behold does not currently have an options page, and setting up a whole new window requires thinking about all the options and how they should be organized - something I'm not ready to do yet.
However I had another thought. If I add a toolbar icon (and an associated menu item) to allow toggling of the source details, sort of like the RM and EE buttons, then I might be able to implement it earlier, maybe for 0.99.
Of course, after that option is in, you'll have 500 pages to look through. :-)
