I reorganized most of my papers and set up my Behold tasks to do this month. I’ll start with correcting the cause of a couple of Abends that I had only put in workarounds for.
I also set up an Affiliates page, which isn’t linked directly to the other pages yet, but you can check it out if you want. I’ll be using Plimus who handles my sales to also handle my Affiliate sales. This will allow anyone with a website who likes Behold, to put a link on their website to Behold’s site. The link will include your Affiliate ID. If someone clicks on the link, a cookie will be put on their computer with your Affiliate ID in it. If they then follow up and purchase Behold within a full year of their first click, then the Affiliate will earn 30% of the purchase price. This is one of the most proven Internet marketing methods for increasing sales. I’m surprised to see that only about a half a dozen genealogy programs currently offer Affiliate programs. The other thing I did this weekend was a major reanalysis of what I consider to be the Best Liked, Most Popular, and the Most Comprehensive genealogy programs.
