It was nice working on Behold again, even if it was just to repair an algorithm. I haven’t really worked on Behold itself since July. In between, its been working on Spam problems, RSS and the Forum. The Forum took on a life of its own as “one week’s work” seems to have stretched out much longer than that.
Since I know that I have to and want to get back to Behold, I once again re-evaluated the Forum work I was doing. If I could finish it off fast, that would be good. But the rebuilding of the interface over time built itself into a whole new project. It just isn’t worth it. Behold should be my primary focus. I have thought about using MegaBBS or some other alternative, but that is a whole other discussion.
So what I’ve decided to do is to go back to the BroadBoard forum I am using, and simply patch the things I don’t like, removing extra unneeded features. I can add the ability for it to create an RSS feed later, when I get a chance.
