Spent the weekend completely reworking the Behold pages on the website. Please check them out again now! They are now all reflective of a site with a product to release.
I’ve eliminated the Progress section on Behold’s Home Page in favor of listing the benefits Behold will give. As such, I also won’t report percent completion in this Blog anymore. Instead, I’ll give Version numbers whenever a new version or update is released. I want to continue to work hard and get that first Alpha version out this month (February) for sure!
I also streamlined the headers on the other pages, and moved my little quotes into one - now randomized - quote on the Home Page. I set up the other 4 pages I will need as well: The Version History and Future Plans pages are up and running. The Download and Buy Now pages will be ready for the Alpha release.
Take a good look at my Future Plans page. I’m really happy to have that one up and its a rarity for a Developer to stick his neck out and give his plans and tentative dates for their release. I am going to be constantly updating this page as I complete items and add new ones. I will be using it as my work plan and will change orders of things there if my priorities shift. And I love the little animated graphic of the guy working on the computer. It shows you what I am currently working on. I hope this convinces you that I do have really want to get Behold to its ultimate form (Version 2.0: The Genealogy Word Processor) which I am so looking forward to. Forecasting that out, it ends up being planned for June 2007.
