While the ideas for Vs. 2 are good, I would certainly like to see them put straight onto a future list and have Vs. 1 released asap.

Sorry Louis, actually meant why is it that an option under File - Text Viewer is required, rather than automatically using the Windows default text editor.

Is there any reason the View GEDCOM loads in NotePad, rather than a preferred text file editor, such as NotePad ++ etc.

So how is March 2009 still looking for the next update to the prgram?

The 'This page is basically my ToDo list and was last updated on' from the Future Plans page does not record a last updated date!!!

The updated Future Plans page should show Version 1.3, planned for February 2009. (Saving GEDCOMs) as Version 1.3, planned for February 2010. (Saving GEDCOMs) !!
