I've never used Linux. What is the command syntax for telling Ubuntu how to locate the files? I have them on a different hard drive from my boot drive.

Sorry to hear about it. A few years ago I broke talus. It has put a damper on my day-to-day activities. From my struggles, I highly recommend physical therapy in present day.
