It is possible to type in the 'Behold is ready for input - Please open a file' Main window when no file is open. Is there a purpose for this, as anything typed cannot be saved.

If the find files screen is used, once the file list requires a scroll bar, the scroll bar is only half visible vertically. The part to the right of centre of the black up/down arrow is 'out of view'. Windows Vista, 1280 x 800 res.

I don't know if multiple NAME tags is the best place for married surnames. The main reason is that it is not defined that way in the GEDCOM standard.
