Brett: I don't know what FTM thought. But they did put that feature in their 2008 version. So someone there thought it was a good idea. It seems to be unchanged in the 2012 version. So if any users are suggesting improvements to the timeline, they are not being listened to. Louis

Brett, Yes, of course you're correct and a 1900 birth could be in the 1901 records. So I should have been more precise and instead of "looked through all 1900 records", I should have said: "looked through all records containing a birth in 1900". Louis

meliasz: You'll be able to store whatever dates you want. If the person's death date is input as 100 years before their birth date, then so be it - but Behold will by default show the warning to remind you, so you won't forget to fix it later. Louis

Then you are not translating that back into HTML tags and then the person will see the HTML and tags and not what was intended to be rendered. I think that is correct.
