DMT Now Reads @MyHeritage DNA Segment Match Files - Blog comment by lkessler - 3 Aug 2018
From Ancestry DNA, the DNAGedcom Client can only download the people you match to and the people you are ICW (in common with) along with the total match length. But Ancestry DNA does not have a chromosome browser and does not make individual segment match information available, so there's no segment match data ...

And I know that the raw AncestryDNA from my friend was indeed downloaded in 2017. I am no expert here, so must be missing something!

DMT Now Reads @MyHeritage DNA Segment Match Files - Blog comment by cp - 31 Jul 2018
So... you are saying that DMT can't use Ancestry DNA data because it can't be downloaded. But two weeks later you say "At AncestryDNA, you need a 3rd party tool to get your DNA matches downloaded. I used the the DNAGedcom client tool.".

Revisiting Speed and Balding - Blog comment by barryrsmith - 11 Apr 2018
The lack of information is possible, but I think unlikely. I have complete information back 5 generations, except for three ancestors who are all in Switzerland, and none of the three matches I am thinking of have anyone near Switzerland. At least two of my matches have similar completeness of records. So ...

Barry:
You said: "for the handful of weak matches for whom we have traced a MRCA, the generational difference has usually been larger than had been predicted by the model". I would expect that is because the one MRCA you identified is one of many MRCA's that you and your match have. Neither of you has ...
